Bhatin Hadi Thaan is a religious place of Kudmi tribals where a white stone is worshipped as their forefather/ ancestors.
The Head of Thaan is Mahato/village headman, who is regulated under the self-governance of the Kudmi tribe, which is a part of the Rarh Civilization of Chota Nagpur Plateau.
Villagers offer paddy or sacrifice a white goat to pay gratitude to their ancestors who have provided them with land for cultivation, a pond, and other essential things for livelihood. A naaya is assigned by the Mahato of the Thaan to perform all the customs and rituals of the Thaan.
